INTERVIEW:
A few months ago , I was named a favorite daughter of Pailon by the people of Pailon. It was very important for me, feeling the love and affection they gave me and it made me very proud to see that all my efforts resulted in my winning the Miss Santa Cruz contest. I was so proud, filled with satisfaction and gratification and it made me grow as a person and to move on.
Describe your childhood when you were growing up from 8 to 13 years old.
I lived in a small village called Pailon all my life. Here, I got my education and I have many friends. What I remember fondly from my childhood is my neighborhood where my sisters and several girls from our neighborhood would go out biking every day and I would always be in my house playing with my dolls.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
From my parents, I learned the knowledge of sharing, humility, friendship and the perseverance to accomplish what you set out or intend to do. I believe that having strong faith can move mountains. I also understood that life is full of rewards, and if one gets a lot of "waves". Each failure only helps us grow as a person. This is the stage of my childhood where I learned my personality and the majority of one's definitions was instilled in me.
What is your most memorable moment?
Happy moments, I remember I was 15 years old and sharing my happiness with family and friends.
Sad moment was when my grandfather died when I was 8 years old because that moment made me realize what is was like to lose someone you love very much.
What is your environmental advocacy?
My country is now suffering too much with the environmental pollution due to the burning forests and its waste, affecting the air we breathe which causes irreparable damage to the human body.
